Our Greatest Asset…… Our Staff
The early childhood years are a time of significant developmental growth. At different stages, children experience different developmental domains, all of which relate to each other. During these years, children experience physical, perception, sensory, communication, language, cognitive, emotional and social developments. At Evergreen Child Development Center, WE BELIEVE that a professional, trained in Early Childhood Development, is required to recognize and nurture each student through these very important stages of development.
Because of this belief, we go to great lengths in our interviewing and hiring practices to assure that our staff members have the qualifications necessary to provide an exceptional program to the children in our center. While many childcare centers will advertise that they have a degreed and certified staff, in reality, the degreed and or certified staff members may be limited to what is required by the State of NJ; a Director and one Head Teacher. At Evergreen, our Director and head teachers have either been awarded a Bachelor or Associate degree, or have been certified, by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition, as a Child Development Associate (CDA), after completing 120 clock hours of early childhood education. We also look for the proper qualifications from our assistants. Most of them are experienced and are in the process of completing their education leading to a Bachelor, Associates or CDA designation.
Our current staff hold six Bachelors’ Degrees, three Associates’ Degree and two Child Development Associates’ certifications. Our staff has over 100 combined years of experience in the Early Childhood field. At Evergreen, we deliver what others only promise!
